Description

cited in Fr. Jaki, Brian, Mind and Computers pp. 152-3 (PDF pp. 158-9):

Efforts to explain telepathy on the basis of electromagnetic radiation failed when communication between recipient and agent was still observed though one or both of them were enclosed inside metal cabins into which no electromagnetic waves can penetrate. [Experiments in Mental Suggestion pp. 26-33, 142]

Would Weber's electrodynamics be able to explain this? Cf. the spherical shell experiment Assis proposes on §24.5 Experimental Tests of Relational Mechanics, pp. 460-74 of Relational Mechanics and Implementation of Mach's Principle with Weber's Gravitational Force. "The experiments require measuring lengths down to 1 part in 1029, which is currently beyond today's technological capacities (cf. Planck length = 1.6×10-33 m), but will be feasible in the future, with the development of more precise measurement apparatuses." (source).

cf. the "odds" Fr. Jaki mentions, ibid. p. 153:

The existence of a similarly new aspect of physical reality may also be indicated by the astronomical odds, in some cases as high as 1035 to 1, that strongly militate against attributing to chance some well-established cases of extrasensory perception.

I wonder how he calculated 1035:1?
