Description
WARNING: A book against traditional Catholicism, not as bad as Heresy Disguised as Tradition, but still has some good references and anti-SSPX polemics.
Read up to ref:10.35, and realized this 📖 is 🗑. This is quite the strawman 🧟:
A former SSPX priest, Abbé Emmanuel Berger, had put words to my dilemma in 1994: “Through constantly criticizing authority at its different levels, schools, State, priests, bishops, Pope, do we not end by destroying in the heart of the faithful, and especially of the children, the very principle of authority?”
The SSPX is not anarchist! It respects lawfully constituted authority, but resists when it errs or leads to sin.
"When does the crisis in the Church end? May priests universally minister without any canonical mission? Can one Eucharist be offered against another in legitimate Catholic worship? Using the Scriptures, patristic sources, and magisterial declarations, Altar Against Altar answers these and many other questions, and demonstrates how the independent traditionalist ministry does not provide a remedy for the current crisis, but only perpetuates it.
