This book brings together French translations of the commentaries of the Church Fathers concerning the biblical cycle of Elijah, and of works whose titles explicitly refer to the prophet.

This work takes into account studies published over the last thirty years, during which texts that were inaccessible at the time were able to be published, and are here translated into French for the first time, such as the first and long homily on Elijah by Jacob of Sarug and that of Narsai, On Enoch and Elijah.
