Logic as a Liberal Art

Description

The Way of Logic, p. 031 describes LAALA :

Although Logic as a Liberal Art was first offered in an early state to the Toronto Semiotic Circle in 1985, then mostly written by 1992, but with three extra chapters and other material added by 2007. John's manuscript still remained unfinished, due partly to the ever-ongoing modifications, but mostly due to the incomplete state of the final chapter (Chapter 22) which lacked explicit rules for the task (discovered by John) of semiotic “validation”: namely, the logical analysis of an invalid argument “so as to make explicit the valid consequences it actually contains”.
