The Treasure of Vowed Chastity in Secular Persons & The Widdowes Glasse

Description

Discovered in John Lane's ebook collection.

This is a good companion to Fr. Unger's book on the single life.

The spelled is archaic, but, thankfully, there are no long S's, ſ (at least not in the OCRed, EPUB version).

Arch-heretic Jovinian is spelled "Iouvinian". St. Jerome is spelled "Hierom".

The Latin-esque abbreviations are neat, e.g., "cōmend" = commend, "cōcern" = concern, etc.

It was translated for Anne Vaux (✝1637), a famous English recusant thought to have been associated with the Gunpowder Plot (cf. Guy Fawkes).
