Description
Pereira, The Story of Our Lady of Good Success and Novena:
ref:6.276:
President Garcia Moreno solemnly consecrated Ecuador to the Sacred Heart of Jesus on March 25, 1874, the feast of the Annunciation and of the Incarnation of the Word. It was the first country in the world to do this. A year afterwards, on August 6, 1875, Garcia Moreno was brutally assassinated by Masonry in the Plaza of Quito, which is at the foot of the presidential palace and diagonally across from the convent of the Immaculate Conception.
ref:9.31:
An outstanding biography of Garcia Moreno was written by Fr. Augustine Berthe.
A must-read for any Catholic politician, according to Fr. Kevin Robinson, SSPX (Our Lady of Good Success "expert").
