Corpus Christi quod est Ecclesia: I. Introduction generalis

Description

Tromp, S.J., is supposedly of Lumen Gentium 's subsistit in (in)fame (cf. Little catechism of the Second Vatican Council EPUB ref:14.10), but he nowise says the Church of Christ “subsists in” the Catholic Church; he says passim that it is the Catholic Church.

He uses the word subsistunt on p. 76 (PDF p. 76):

Corpus est aliquid unum et totum, et sic opponitur corpus membris, quæ in corpore subsistunt, cf. Rom. 12, 3-5 et 1 Cor. 12.

[Condit's transl., p. 90 (PDF p. 92): "A body is something which is a one and a whole, and thus a body is opposed to the members that subsist in the body (cf. Rom. 12,3-5; 1 Cor. 12)."]
