Let's practice with disputed question like: "Whether the
Novus Ordo is the Catholic Church."
- Everything that is one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic is the Catholic Church.
- The Novus Ordo is one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic
- ∴, the Novus Ordo is the Catholic Church.
In other words:
- Every S is P.
- Every Q is S.
- ∴, every Q is P,
where S = "that which is one, holy, Catholic, and apostolic", P = "the Catholic Church", Q = "
Novus Ordo". This is a classic B

A syllogism (cf. this thread (http://isidore.co/forum/index.php?topic=7.msg15#msg15)) because all the propositions are universal affirmatives (A-type).
I could then reply: "I concede the major (#1) and distinguish the minor (#2). Some Q is S, and some Q is not S." etc.
