Abstract
Poincaré group electrodynamics is {ie255-1} conserving and Lorentz covariant under all conditions by definition. Examples are given of these properties. Comay’s comment is incorrect: any {ie255-2} conserving field theory that is Lorentz covariant is consistent with special relativity, whose underlying group is the Poincaré group.
