[ 0 → 4] TrapCast Express [ 4 → 15] TrapCast Express, it's Wednesday, August 12th, 2020. [ 16 → 21] Even though it's summer, the flood of news from Novosardo land is hard to keep up with. [ 21 → 23] Let's review a few recent stories. [ 24 → 29] On July 21st, the following headline appeared on the Catholic World Report. [ 29 → 37] As Richmond Diocese marks 200 years, Bishop calls for New Springtime. [ 39 → 46] You'd think that maybe they would have learned from the last New Springtime how that worked out. [ 47 → 50] You know, but no, it's still the same playbook. [ 50 → 52] Vatican II is all they know. [ 53 → 58] It's what they were educated in, and so they can't help but speak its language. [ 59 → 64] On Vatican News, an essay appeared on July 2nd under the title, [ 64 → 69] Vatican Council II, A Seed That Continues to Grow. [ 69 → 74] Author Sergio Centofanti hits all the major buzzwords and core ideas [ 74 → 81] that are perpetually recycled ad nauseum to promote and defend the modernist robber synod. [ 81 → 87] A new Pentecost, dynamic fidelity, the council as prophetic, [ 87 → 87] a learning church, and a new world. [ 87 → 88] A new world. [ 88 → 89] A new world. [ 89 → 97] Following the spirit, hermeneutic of continuity, newness in continuity, using the medicine [ 97 → 101] of mercy instead of condemnation, and on and on. [ 102 → 107] They have to defend their conciliar golden calf every so often because with it, their [ 107 → 111] entire religion stands or falls. [ 112 → 115] We call it the Vatican II religion for a reason, after all. [ 116 → 117] All right. [ 117 → 118] On to some other stories. [ 118 → 123] On July 23rd, Church Militant reported, quote, [ 124 → 138] A new 4,000-word Vatican document on the Wuhan virus pandemic is being slammed for not mentioning God, Jesus Christ, church, gospel, Bible, or sacraments even once, unquote. [ 139 → 144] Yeah, sounds like they only had enough space to mention the essentials, huh? [ 144 → 154] Well, look, the Vatican at this point is simply a leftist political social justice NGO with bad liturgy. [ 154 → 157] Why would they mention anything supernatural? [ 158 → 161] Now, there was a follow-up story to this about 10 days later. [ 162 → 164] Church Militant wrote, quote, [ 164 → 174] The Vatican omitted God from a 4,000-word document on the Wuhan virus pandemic in order to reach the widest possible audience. [ 174 → 179] Church officials claimed in a statement published Thursday, unquote. [ 180 → 184] And for that story, Church Militant found the perfect headline, [ 185 → 189] Vatican drops God to reach wider audience. [ 190 → 191] Touché. [ 192 → 195] Now, speaking of long Vatican documents, [ 196 → 202] around the same time, the modernists released a massive 13,000-word instruction [ 202 → 204] to help parishes in the Vatican. [ 204 → 209] On July 20th, Zenit reported, quote, [ 209 → 214] The Vatican's Congregation for the Clergy has released a new instruction [ 214 → 217] to guide the reform of parish communities. [ 218 → 218] It is entitled, [ 219 → 225] The Pastoral Conversion of the Parish Community in the Service of the Evangelizing Mission of the Church. [ 226 → 232] What emerges most forcefully from the instruction is the urgency of missionary renewal, [ 232 → 240] a pastoral conversion of the parish so that the faithful may rediscover the dynamism and creativity [ 240 → 244] which allows the parish to be always going forth, [ 244 → 251] aided by the contribution of all the baptized faithful, according to Vatican News, unquote. [ 252 → 253] Oh, they're going forth, all right. [ 254 → 255] There's no doubt about that. [ 255 → 260] In fact, looking at how Novos Ordo parishes are closing left and right in the Western world, [ 260 → 262] I'd say they're going away. [ 263 → 267] And that instruction, I guarantee it, is not going to help. [ 267 → 273] The very fact that the opening sentence of the instruction contains the term Second Vatican Council [ 273 → 280] and in the second sentence speaks of new experiences, dimensions of communion, [ 280 → 284] and a harmonious synthesis tells you all you need to know. [ 285 → 292] Besides, if you need a 13,000-word document to get evangelization going in your parish, [ 292 → 298] then you've probably not understood what evangelization is all about. [ 300 → 301] Changing gears for a moment, [ 302 → 306] the Lefebvreist and former SSPX bishop Richard Williamson [ 306 → 312] has been indirectly promoting the unapproved and clearly false private revelations [ 312 → 314] of a certain Father Albert Drexel. [ 315 → 318] The reason Williamson brings them up at all is clear. [ 318 → 322] They support his own un-Catholic theological position, [ 322 → 326] namely that of accepting the Novos Ordo popes as legitimate [ 326 → 330] while at the same time refusing their religion. [ 331 → 334] In his Elazon Commons newsletter, No. 679, [ 335 → 339] Bishop Williamson quotes from one of those alleged messages of Our Lord [ 339 → 342] to Father Drexel regarding Vatican II. [ 343 → 344] Quote, [ 344 → 347] I know what agony you faithful souls are suffering, [ 348 → 351] but hold on to your faith and do not let these traitors change it. [ 352 → 356] They are wrong, you are right, as time will tell, [ 356 → 359] and great will be your reward if you persevere. [ 360 → 360] Unquote. [ 361 → 365] Now, how do we know that that's not truly from Our Lord? [ 366 → 369] We know that because these words contradict [ 369 → 374] what the Church teaches regarding the authority of the Roman pontiff [ 374 → 376] and an ecumenical council. [ 376 → 380] This means that if Paul VI had been a true pope, [ 380 → 382] God would have endorsed not only him, [ 382 → 384] but also his council. [ 385 → 389] If, on the other hand, God had condemned the council in a private revelation, [ 389 → 395] he would also have condemned the authority from which it proceeded as fake. [ 395 → 400] In other words, he would have also denounced Paul VI as an imposter. [ 400 → 402] But this is Bishop Williamson for you. [ 402 → 406] He may be kind and charitable and brilliant in all sorts of ways, [ 407 → 410] but theologically, he's an utter train wreck. [ 411 → 412] Unquote. [ 412 → 418] On August 6th, Vatican News reported on an alleged need for a theology of childhood [ 418 → 421] in order to better safeguard children. [ 421 → 423] You can't make this stuff up. [ 423 → 428] What they need is not a theology of childhood with endless texts [ 428 → 431] and, you know, press conferences and stuff. [ 431 → 434] What they need is ruthless prosecution [ 434 → 439] and swift, severe punishment for those who mess with children. [ 440 → 441] You want a theology of childhood? [ 441 → 445] Here's a theology of childhood, straight from St. Mark's Gospel, [ 445 → 447] chapter 9, verse 41. [ 448 → 448] Quote, [ 449 → 461] There. [ 461 → 465] That's all the theology of children they need. [ 466 → 467] And last but not least, [ 467 → 470] surely you've heard that Hagia Sophia, [ 470 → 471] who was recently, [ 471 → 473] turned into a mosque. [ 473 → 475] Built in the 6th century, [ 475 → 477] it had originally been the Cathedral of Constantinople, [ 479 → 481] a Turkish city now known as Istanbul. [ 482 → 485] It became a mosque after the fall of Constantinople in 1453, [ 486 → 489] but was turned into a museum in 1934, [ 490 → 492] during the Ataturk era. [ 492 → 496] And now, after the current Muslim president Erdogan [ 496 → 497] signed a decree, [ 497 → 499] it's back to being a mosque. [ 499 → 501] Now, what has been the reaction to that? [ 501 → 503] What has been the reaction to that by the Novus Ordo sect? [ 504 → 505] Outrage? [ 505 → 506] Anger? [ 506 → 507] No. [ 507 → 510] Instead, sadness. [ 510 → 513] Oh yeah, they're all terribly sad. [ 513 → 515] Even Francis said he's saddened. [ 515 → 517] And why are they sad? [ 517 → 522] Because a magnificent building that was originally built and consecrated [ 522 → 525] for the only true worship of the only true God, [ 525 → 527] Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, [ 527 → 530] is now being used for the worship of Allah [ 530 → 531] and the prayers of the Muhammad, [ 531 → 533] Oh no. [ 534 → 537] Listen to this July 21st report [ 537 → 539] from the Catholic News Agency. [ 539 → 539] Quote, [ 540 → 543] Archbishop Jose Gomez of Los Angeles [ 543 → 546] and Bishop Joseph Bambara of Scranton, [ 546 → 549] the U.S. Bishop's President and Ecumenical Chair, respectively, [ 550 → 552] said July 14th that [ 552 → 556] we join Pope Francis and our Orthodox Christian brothers and sisters [ 556 → 560] in expressing deep sadness over the decree [ 560 → 561] by Turkey's president, [ 561 → 565] to open Hagia Sophia as a mosque. [ 565 → 566] For many years now, [ 566 → 568] this beautiful and cherished site [ 568 → 570] has served as a museum [ 570 → 572] where people of all faiths [ 572 → 576] can come to experience the sublime presence of God. [ 577 → 580] It has also stood as a sign of goodwill [ 580 → 582] and peaceful coexistence [ 582 → 583] between Christians and Muslims [ 583 → 586] and an expression of humanity's longings [ 586 → 589] for unity and love. [ 590 → 591] Edward Clancy, [ 591 → 595] Director of Outreach for Aid to the Church in Need USA, [ 595 → 597] said July 17th that [ 597 → 601] the 1934 decision to secularize Hagia Sophia, [ 601 → 605] which also allowed for the restoration of Christian iconography [ 605 → 607] plastered over by Ottoman authorities, [ 608 → 611] made it a symbol of interreligious harmony, [ 611 → 614] a place where Islamic and Christian heritages [ 614 → 616] could meet in peace. [ 616 → 621] The loss of that privileged place of interreligious encounter [ 621 → 623] is incalculable. [ 624 → 624] Unquote. [ 626 → 628] So here we can see that [ 628 → 632] their problem with Hagia Sophia being turned into a mosque [ 632 → 635] is not that instead of the true religion [ 635 → 637] it will now serve a false one. [ 637 → 640] No, they mourn the loss of a location [ 640 → 642] for interreligious encounter [ 642 → 645] where God can be experienced by all. [ 647 → 650] Or listen to what Cardinal Charles Bow [ 651 → 653] of Myanmar had to say about it [ 653 → 657] as reported by Zenit on July 27th. [ 658 → 658] Quote, [ 658 → 661] Freedom of religion or belief [ 661 → 663] is a foundational human right [ 663 → 666] for everyone, of every faith and none. [ 667 → 669] The right to choose, practice, express [ 669 → 671] and change one's faith [ 671 → 673] or have no faith at all [ 673 → 676] is the most basic freedom for any soul. [ 677 → 679] And it is a freedom I have consistently [ 679 → 681] and passionately defended. [ 681 → 684] For Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Jews [ 684 → 686] and Christians of all traditions [ 686 → 689] in my own country of Myanmar [ 689 → 691] and throughout Asia. [ 692 → 694] For that reason, the decision in Turkey [ 694 → 696] to turn what was for a thousand years [ 696 → 699] the world's largest cathedral, Hagia Sophia [ 699 → 701] into a mosque grieves me. [ 702 → 705] It grieves me not because I want to deny [ 705 → 708] my Muslim brothers and sisters places of worship. [ 708 → 711] On the contrary, I defend their right to do so. [ 711 → 713] As much as I defend everyone's. [ 714 → 716] But nor can the decision to turn Hagia Sophia [ 716 → 719] into a mosque be seen as anything other [ 719 → 721] than an unnecessary assault [ 722 → 724] on freedom of religion or belief. [ 725 → 727] How does turning what was once [ 727 → 729] the world's largest cathedral into a mosque [ 729 → 732] do anything except sow tensions, [ 732 → 735] divide people and inflict pain? [ 735 → 737] How does placing Hagia Sophia [ 737 → 739] into the hands of people [ 739 → 741] who have no sense of its history, [ 741 → 746] and who will destroy its Christian identity [ 746 → 748] help bring people together? [ 748 → 750] How does seizing Hagia Sophia [ 750 → 754] uphold Article 18 of the Universal Declaration [ 754 → 756] of Human Rights? [ 756 → 757] It doesn't. [ 757 → 761] It merely reopens wounds and exacerbates divides [ 761 → 764] at a time when we should be healing humanity. [ 764 → 767] I work with my brothers and sisters [ 767 → 769] from every major faith tradition [ 769 → 771] every day of my life. [ 771 → 773] And I will go to the ends of the earth [ 773 → 775] to defend their rights. [ 775 → 777] I will defend every mosque, [ 778 → 778] every synagogue, [ 779 → 781] every temple possible. [ 781 → 782] Unquote. [ 783 → 784] Did you notice it? [ 785 → 787] Everything Cardinal Bo said, [ 788 → 790] and by the way, that was just excerpts, [ 790 → 791] not the whole statement. [ 791 → 794] Everything Bo said was about man, [ 795 → 796] not about God. [ 796 → 799] It was about man's supposed rights, [ 801 → 801] not about... [ 801 → 803] not man's duties towards his creator. [ 805 → 809] Hagia Sophia is a symbol of the rights of man [ 809 → 810] for these people. [ 811 → 813] A symbol of religious freedom, [ 813 → 817] not a symbol of the only true religion [ 817 → 820] testifying to the only true God. [ 821 → 823] There it is, ladies and gentlemen, [ 823 → 825] on full display, [ 825 → 828] that new springtime of Vatican II. [ 828 → 831] Man put in the place [ 831 → 831] of God. [ 831 → 835] And that is but one of the many rotten fruits [ 835 → 838] of this abominable modernist council. [ 839 → 843] As Pope Leo XIII exclaimed 120 years ago [ 843 → 847] in paragraph 13 of his encyclical Tammetsi, [ 848 → 849] the world has heard enough [ 849 → 852] of the so-called rights of man. [ 853 → 854] Let it hear something [ 854 → 856] of the rights of God. [ 857 → 859] Tradcast Express is a production [ 859 → 860] of Novus Ordo Watch. [ 861 → 863] Check us out at tradcast.org.
