[ 0 → 15] TrapCast Express, it's Monday, January 10th, 2022. [ 16 → 22] This podcast episode number 147 continues the discussion of the fallout from the Responsa [ 22 → 29] ad Dubia, responses to questions that the Vatican's Congregation for Divine Worship [ 29 → 34] released on December 18th, which restrict the celebration of the traditional Latin Mass [ 34 → 35] even further. [ 36 → 42] So, if you haven't yet listened to the first two installments of the series, episodes 145 [ 42 → 47] and 146, it is recommended that you do so first so you get the full picture. [ 48 → 51] But now, let's go ahead with today's episode. [ 52 → 59] Turning once again to the infamous document issued on December 18th, 2021, the Responsa [ 59 → 59] ad Dubia. [ 59 → 66] The Prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship, Archlaemon Arthur Roche, quotes Pope [ 66 → 74] Francis, speaking to a liturgical conference on August 24th, 2017, saying that, quote, [ 75 → 83] we can affirm with certainty and with magisterial authority that the liturgical reform is irreversible, [ 83 → 84] unquote. [ 84 → 89] By including this quote, it's clear that the intent is to, quote, [ 89 → 95] to underscore once again that the new Mass is definitive and not going anywhere, and [ 95 → 101] that all of these concessions to the traditional Latin Mass communities over all these years [ 101 → 108] had only one purpose, and that is to accompany those stragglers who were having a hard time [ 108 → 111] accepting the Novus Ordo liturgical revolution. [ 111 → 119] In other words, the plan is and has been that everyone in the Roman Rite of the Vatican [ 119 → 123] to church will ultimately be assisting at the new Mass. [ 124 → 130] And those who've been resisting that to a greater or lesser extent are being gradually [ 130 → 135] reined in until they either submit or will be solemnly cut off. [ 136 → 140] In other words, this is basically the 1980s all over again. [ 140 → 146] And this is a battle the modernists in Rome are going to win against the Semitrats, because [ 146 → 148] the Semitrats continue to reign. [ 149 → 152] Recognize them as the lawful Catholic authorities. [ 153 → 160] The Semitrats themselves are giving the modernists their trump card, and then they're in shock [ 160 → 162] when the modernists play it. [ 163 → 165] Well, what did you think they were going to do with it? [ 167 → 170] Francis doesn't care about resistance. [ 170 → 177] He doesn't care about being resisted, because for as long as they recognize him as Pope, [ 177 → 178] he wins. [ 179 → 183] He wins necessarily because the Catholic Church is set up that way. [ 184 → 191] God himself gave the Church a Pope as the principle of unity and as the final arbiter [ 191 → 198] over all things pertaining to faith, worship, and governance, guaranteeing that even though [ 198 → 204] the Pope may not always choose the most prudent course of action in a given situation or make [ 204 → 209] the most perfect decisions, nonetheless, it will always be the Pope. [ 209 → 217] Be perfectly safe for your soul to follow the Pope, so much so that God requires your [ 217 → 222] submission to the Pope as a matter of eternal salvation. [ 224 → 227] Why do you think God set the Church up that way? [ 228 → 229] To torture us? [ 229 → 232] To give us a stumbling block to salvation? [ 233 → 236] No, but just the opposite. [ 236 → 238] No, but just the opposite, because clinging to the Pope and his religion is a matter of life and death. [ 238 → 238] Why? [ 238 → 238] Well, you haven't lost the faith. [ 238 → 239] You have lost the faith. [ 239 → 239] You have lost the faith. [ 239 → 246] magisterium would be for us the guarantee that we're on the right track, that we're in communion [ 246 → 254] with him, Jesus Christ, our blessed Lord. It is by being in communion with the visible head of [ 254 → 260] the church that you are assured of being in communion with the invisible head. By being [ 260 → 267] in communion with the vicar of Christ, you are guaranteed to be in communion with Christ himself. [ 269 → 276] That is how God set it up. And that's why Pope Leo XIII could say in his address of February 20th, [ 276 → 284] 1903, quote, by God's commandment, salvation is to be found nowhere but in the church. [ 284 → 291] The strong and effective instrument of salvation is none other than the Roman pontificate, [ 292 → 298] unquote. And that's why the question of the pope is so important, and not just a matter of [ 299 → 307] opinion. That's why it's so important to know that Jorge Bergoglio is not the pope, or Joseph [ 307 → 316] Ratzinger for that matter. There is currently no pope reigning, as far as we know, and there hasn't [ 316 → 326] been since Pius XII died in 1958. That is an utter disaster for the Catholic Church. It is an utter [ 326 → 328] catastrophe for souls. [ 329 → 337] But an even greater calamity is the new church of the Second Vatican Council that was introduced [ 337 → 348] by John XXIII, built by Paul VI, varnished by John Paul II, polished by Benedict XVI, and that is now [ 348 → 356] being revealed for what it truly is by Francis, who is tearing away the pretty facade to reveal [ 356 → 358] what's really underneath. [ 359 → 363] The great apostasy in all its hideousness. [ 365 → 370] And of course, the traditional Latin mass people in the new church, the semi-trads, [ 370 → 376] surely not all of them, but definitely the majority, want nothing to do with this monstrous [ 376 → 384] new church of ecumenism, interreligious dialogue, Masonic fraternity, climate change, and migrant [ 384 → 387] worship, not to mention Pachamama. [ 389 → 394] Traditional Latin mass, for as long as it was widely available, thanks to Benedict XVI's [ 394 → 402] Summorum Pontificum, acted as a mask covering the ugly reality of the new church. [ 403 → 410] And now that mask is being taken away, and the people cannot stand it because deep down they do [ 410 → 419] not believe in this new church, which is represented by the Novus Ordo Mise, the new mass of Paul the [ 419 → 419] Seventh. [ 419 → 426] They believe in the church before Vatican II, which is represented by the traditional, [ 426 → 428] also called Tridentine, mass. [ 430 → 437] So Francis made a devilishly clever move with Traditiones Custodes, the decree issued on [ 437 → 444] July 18th of last year, gradually phasing out the traditional Latin mass, because now [ 444 → 446] he has his traditionalists trapped. [ 446 → 448] If they accept his liturgy... [ 449 → 453] If they accept his liturgical directives, they will be gradually returning to the Novus [ 453 → 453] Ordo. [ 454 → 460] If they reject them, they are only proving the need for them to have been issued to begin [ 460 → 460] with. [ 461 → 468] Because remember, the very things that Francis complained about in Traditiones Custodes, that [ 468 → 473] many of the traditional mass goers aren't really accepting Vatican II or the new mass, [ 473 → 478] that they're disobedient, that they have their own little groups, and so on. [ 479 → 483] All of that, they are now confirming to be true. [ 484 → 489] And to substantiate that, all you need to do is look at the reactions of the gatekeepers, [ 489 → 493] the de facto leaders of these semi-traditionalists. [ 493 → 498] There's a whole list of links to initial reactions from these people that you can find [ 498 → 501] at Novus Ordo Watch. [ 501 → 505] The post is called Dreary Christmas. [ 505 → 508] Semi-trats excoriate Francis. [ 508 → 510] Over new Latin mass restrictions. [ 510 → 514] And it was published on our blog on December 21st. [ 514 → 518] And I'll put a link to that in the brief description for this podcast episode. [ 519 → 520] So you can just click on that. [ 522 → 528] Also, I've compiled a few fun soundbites here from some of the more well-known self-appointed [ 528 → 532] recognize and resist pundits in the English-speaking world. [ 532 → 538] They weren't hard to find, since as soon as the Responsa Adubia were released, they were [ 538 → 543] released on December 18th, they all had plenty to say about it on YouTube. [ 543 → 549] They quickly rose to the occasion to tell the world what faithful Catholics ought to [ 549 → 554] think about these new Vatican guidelines and how they are to respond to them. [ 555 → 561] Because, of course, they get to define what constitutes the proper reaction of a faithful [ 561 → 562] Catholic, right? [ 562 → 564] And wouldn't you know it? [ 564 → 566] Somehow, it's not. [ 567 → 567] Loyal submission. [ 568 → 570] Loyal submission to the man they insist is the Pope. [ 571 → 572] Amazing, isn't it? [ 573 → 574] All right. [ 574 → 577] So let's go ahead now and listen to some reactions here. [ 577 → 585] The first one is from Brian McCall, editor-in-chief of Catholic Family News, in the video entitled [ 585 → 592] Livestream Q&A on Today's Further Attack on the Traditional Liturgy, published on YouTube [ 592 → 594] on December 18th. [ 594 → 597] After giving his own assessment of the new document, [ 598 → 604] McCall reacts to comments submitted by people in the live chat, and one of those commenters [ 604 → 610] said that the Vatican document is evil, and another said that it is satanic. [ 611 → 614] Brian McCall agreed with both of these comments. [ 615 → 619] This is at 10 minutes and 7 seconds into the video. [ 619 → 622] Yeah, Lisby, this is evil. [ 622 → 624] That's really the only way to describe it. [ 624 → 625] I think you're right. [ 627 → 627] Satanic? [ 627 → 628] That's another way to describe it? [ 629 → 629] Absolutely. [ 629 → 630] So there we go. [ 631 → 637] Brian McCall believes that the apostolic see of the Holy Roman Catholic Church can issue [ 637 → 640] satanic liturgical guidelines. [ 640 → 641] Got it. [ 642 → 648] Never mind that Pope Pius XII taught that the Catholic Church is spotless in her sacraments. [ 648 → 654] That's the exact words he used in the encyclical Mystici Corporis, paragraph 66. [ 655 → 656] Yeah. [ 656 → 657] So don't blame it. [ 657 → 659] On the human element now. [ 659 → 663] Okay, the sacred liturgy isn't the Church's human element. [ 663 → 664] That's her divine element. [ 665 → 670] In fact, the Council of Trent issued the following dogmatic pronouncement, quote, [ 670 → 676] If anyone says that the ceremonies, vestments, and outward signs which the Catholic Church uses [ 676 → 683] in the celebration of Masses are incentives to impiety rather than the services of piety, [ 684 → 686] let him be anathema, unquote. [ 686 → 690] You can find that in Denzinger, number 954. [ 691 → 697] So I'd say calling them satanic qualifies as saying they're incentives to impiety. [ 697 → 697] No? [ 699 → 699] All right. [ 700 → 706] Next, let's briefly go to Dr. Peter Kwasniewski, who appeared on Raymond Arroyo's show, [ 707 → 714] The World Over, on December 16th, two days before the responsa were actually issued. [ 714 → 716] That's because they knew the... [ 716 → 719] The breakdown on the traditional Mass was looming. [ 719 → 722] And so in that show, they anticipated that. [ 722 → 728] And Kwasniewski had a rather cryptic message for his not-so-holy father. [ 728 → 732] First of all, we need to keep praying for the Holy Father and the bishops, [ 733 → 742] because they will incur a lot of wrath and a lot of disunity and a lot of pain and anguish [ 742 → 745] if they actually go through with this. [ 745 → 746] Okay. [ 746 → 749] Hey, maybe we'll just leave it at that. [ 750 → 756] Now, the most emotional reaction came from Michael Matt, editor of The Remnant. [ 757 → 761] He blew not just one gasket, but I'd say a whole gasket factory. [ 762 → 770] I had never before heard him yell as much and as loudly as he did in the video published on December 19th, [ 770 → 775] entitled The Intolerant Pope, Francis Cancel's Faithful Catholics. [ 776 → 778] Let's listen to a few clips here. [ 778 → 779] And we'll begin... [ 779 → 783] Remember, what we're talking about here, this is one of the things that bothers them so much, these modernists. [ 783 → 784] We're talking about families. [ 785 → 786] We are talking about young families. [ 786 → 790] We're talking about people with seven, eight, nine, ten kids right before Christmas. [ 790 → 791] This is all they've ever known. [ 791 → 796] They're not in open rebellion against the modernists and Second Vatican Council. [ 796 → 797] They pay no attention to that. [ 798 → 800] They're just trying to serve their souls, save their souls. [ 801 → 804] They're just trying to raise their kids in the faith, the vast majority. [ 804 → 805] We're talking about... [ 806 → 808] Thousands of young children. [ 808 → 813] We're talking about young families that Francis is calling dissenters and sowers of disunity. [ 813 → 820] Okay, so here he's making the case that most of the people who are affected by Tradiciones Custodes [ 820 → 824] aren't really rebelling against anything. [ 824 → 826] They're not trying to be at odds with the new church. [ 826 → 830] They're not against, you know, Vatican II and all the... [ 830 → 833] They're just kind of Catholic and that's that. [ 834 → 836] So, in other words, he's saying they're... [ 836 → 845] Not like The Remnant or Catholic Family News or Rarate Caeli or the Fatima Center or, you know. [ 846 → 852] Because all those organizations and publications are in rebellion against modernist Rome. [ 853 → 854] That's why they exist. [ 855 → 860] And ironically, Michael Matt himself proves it in that very video. [ 861 → 861] Here's some more. [ 861 → 866] These people wrecked the liturgy, wrecked the Roman... [ 866 → 868] Rite, which goes back to apostolic times. [ 869 → 873] The Anglici, they've given us all these options, messing with it, destroying it, [ 873 → 879] until we have this bastardized version of the Roman Rite now called the Novus Ordo Missae, right? [ 879 → 881] They're the ones who wrecked it. [ 882 → 883] They're the ones. [ 883 → 887] And now they're accusing us, the little people, the people in the pews, [ 888 → 889] the people trying to raise their kids. [ 889 → 893] They're accusing us of the crimes of subversion. [ 893 → 895] We're not going along with the wreck-a-vation. [ 896 → 900] We're going along with the mass, with the destruction of the faith of our fathers. [ 900 → 901] Look around you. [ 902 → 904] Mass apostasy. [ 904 → 908] Even Pope John Paul II called it the silent apostasy. [ 908 → 910] What is Francis talking about? [ 911 → 916] We're supposed to loyally adhere to that wreck, to that mess, to that shipwreck [ 916 → 918] that they made out of the Catholic Church? [ 918 → 921] And if we don't, we're guilty? [ 921 → 923] We're the ones who are guilty of subversion? [ 924 → 924] Okay. [ 925 → 925] So he's admitting that... [ 926 → 927] He's admitting that he is rebelling. [ 928 → 932] He just says that the rebellion is legitimate and necessary. [ 932 → 933] All right. [ 933 → 934] Here's more. [ 934 → 936] This guy Francis, I'm sorry. [ 936 → 939] He is the chaplain of the New World Order. [ 939 → 943] It is Christmastime, and he's at war with children, [ 944 → 945] with young priests, [ 946 → 948] with the whole orders of young nuns. [ 949 → 950] What for? [ 950 → 953] What is he doing, this man? [ 953 → 955] How can you defend this anymore? [ 956 → 957] All righty. [ 957 → 961] And next, Matt steps things up a bit [ 961 → 966] and tries to recruit Novus Ordo bishops to join him in his rebellion. [ 967 → 969] Diabolical disorientation has been going on for a long time. [ 970 → 972] I think there are a lot of bishops who are now beginning to say, [ 973 → 975] wait, something's gone really wrong. [ 975 → 978] Your Excellencies, I hope and pray, that includes you, [ 978 → 981] we are literally praying every night for you. [ 982 → 985] We will stand with you if it comes down where you have to make a stand [ 985 → 986] to what's happening in the Vatican. [ 986 → 989] You will have no more loyal defenders than us, [ 989 → 990] than the traditional Catholics, [ 991 → 993] but you must, Your Excellencies, [ 993 → 995] you must lead now. [ 995 → 996] You must resist. [ 997 → 998] You cannot go along with this. [ 999 → 999] Thank you. [1000 → 1002] And next up, it gets really funny. [1003 → 1005] Michael Matt declares that [1005 → 1009] loyal submission to the teachings, laws, and liturgical rubrics [1009 → 1011] issued by the Apostolic See [1011 → 1015] is a Protestant caricature of Catholicism [1015 → 1016] that, [1016 → 1019] thankfully, thanks to Jorge Bergoglio, [1019 → 1021] we no longer have to worry about. [1022 → 1023] But the thing that stood in our way [1023 → 1025] was this mistaken notion [1025 → 1027] that the Pope must be worshipped. [1027 → 1030] Everything he says and does is of the Holy Ghost. [1031 → 1034] This is absolute nonsense, worse than nonsense. [1034 → 1038] It's the caricature that Protestants fashioned some 500 years ago. [1039 → 1041] That Catholics worship the Pope. [1041 → 1043] That the Pope is basically Christ, not the vicar of Christ, [1044 → 1045] but he is Christ. [1045 → 1046] You've got to worship everything he says and does. [1046 → 1049] That is Martin Luther's caricature of the papacy. [1050 → 1052] But now, that's gone. [1052 → 1053] Thank you very much, Francis. [1054 → 1055] It's over. [1055 → 1058] Actually, the only caricature here [1058 → 1059] is that of Michael Matt. [1059 → 1062] He just caricatured [1062 → 1064] submission to the Roman Pontiff [1064 → 1066] as worship of the Pope. [1067 → 1069] And then he has the nerve to say [1069 → 1070] long-lived tradition, [1071 → 1073] when, of course, it is tradition [1073 → 1076] that requires submission to the Roman Pontiff. [1076 → 1078] The papalatry is dead. [1079 → 1080] Long-lived tradition. [1080 → 1082] Now, before we get to the next soundbite, [1083 → 1086] keep in mind that in his letter to bishops [1086 → 1088] accompanying Tradiziones Custodes, [1088 → 1092] published also on July 16th, 2021, [1093 → 1094] Francis wrote, quote, [1094 → 1097] A final reason for my decision is this. [1097 → 1101] Ever more plain in the words and attitudes of many [1101 → 1105] is the close connection between the choice of celebrations [1105 → 1105] according to the Pope. [1105 → 1105] And the choice of celebrations according to the Pope. [1105 → 1106] And the choice of celebrations according to the Pope. [1106 → 1106] And the choice of celebrations according to the Pope. [1106 → 1107] And the choice of celebrations according to the liturgical books [1107 → 1109] prior to Vatican Council II, [1110 → 1113] and the rejection of the Church and her institutions [1113 → 1118] in the name of what is called the true Church, unquote. [1119 → 1122] Now, listen to these words of Michael Matt. [1122 → 1123] And Francis is 85. [1124 → 1126] And his church is aging rapidly. [1127 → 1128] It's collapsing. [1128 → 1131] But the true Church, the Church that you represent, [1131 → 1133] the Church that you love as traditional Catholics, [1133 → 1135] is just getting started. [1135 → 1137] It's just getting ready to fight. [1138 → 1138] Yeah, huh? [1138 → 1141] See, that's exactly what Francis means. [1141 → 1145] And that is exactly why he's taking away their traditional mass. [1146 → 1147] And whereas when I was a kid, [1147 → 1150] there was just a tiny little remnant of traditional Catholics, [1150 → 1152] today there are millions of us, [1152 → 1153] millions, [1154 → 1156] who will go back underground, [1156 → 1157] will go into the woods, [1157 → 1159] will go into the catacombs, [1159 → 1161] we will do whatever it takes [1161 → 1164] until these modernist hippies [1164 → 1165] are gone. [1165 → 1167] Millions. [1168 → 1171] Boy, we sure have come a long way from... [1171 → 1173] They're not in open rebellion [1173 → 1176] against the modernists and Second Vatican Council. [1176 → 1177] They pay no attention to that. [1178 → 1178] All right. [1178 → 1181] And to conclude, some more fireworks. [1182 → 1185] In the spirit of Archbishop Marcel Lefebvre, [1185 → 1187] priest of the Society of St. Pius X, [1188 → 1190] call out the Vatican right now! [1191 → 1192] Call them out! [1192 → 1193] Today! [1193 → 1193] Today! [1193 → 1195] Don't waste another moment! [1195 → 1196] Call them out! [1198 → 1200] Tell the world what they're doing. [1201 → 1204] Tell the world what Archbishop Lefebvre told the world, [1204 → 1207] that they are creating a new and diabolical religion. [1209 → 1210] The church will survive. [1211 → 1213] The priesthood will survive. [1213 → 1216] But we need to stand up, stand together, [1216 → 1218] and fight what's going on. [1219 → 1219] All right. [1219 → 1223] So I think it's pretty clear that Michael Matt is very passionate [1223 → 1225] about what he's saying, [1225 → 1229] but just what he is saying isn't all that clear. [1229 → 1234] I, at least, was not able to detect any kind of coherent theology. [1235 → 1238] You can watch the whole video for yourself on YouTube. [1238 → 1240] Again, it's entitled, [1240 → 1245] The Intolerant Pope, Francis Cancel's Faithful Catholics, [1246 → 1250] released on December 19th of last year. [1250 → 1252] The bottom line here is this. [1252 → 1254] Since the release of the Vatican, [1254 → 1259] all those semi-trade pundits weighed in [1259 → 1265] to give their exceptionally irrelevant and non-binding opinion on it all. [1266 → 1268] I'm sorry, but if Francis is Pope, [1268 → 1271] then these people and their views are irrelevant [1271 → 1275] and definitely not binding on anyone. [1275 → 1279] See, this is what absolutely blows my mind. [1279 → 1283] That people who call themselves traditional Catholics [1283 → 1284] and think they are clinging, [1284 → 1286] to the Catholic faith of the ages, [1286 → 1290] would essentially reject a Vatican decree [1290 → 1294] issued with the authority of the person they firmly believe [1294 → 1295] as the Roman pontiff, [1296 → 1298] that they would reject such a document [1298 → 1302] and instead turn to talking heads like Brian McCall, [1303 → 1304] Michael Matt, Peter Kwasniewski, [1305 → 1308] Taylor Marshall, or Eric Sammons, for example, [1308 → 1312] to receive guidance on what to think and do [1312 → 1313] about the Vatican decision. [1313 → 1314] It is insane. [1314 → 1320] If Francis is the Roman pontiff, [1320 → 1322] then the Roman pontiff has spoken. [1322 → 1325] The supreme judge of all the faithful [1325 → 1328] has rendered a decision on what is to be done [1328 → 1331] and what is not to be done liturgically. [1332 → 1335] So the Pope makes a decision about the sacred liturgy [1335 → 1337] and you disregard that [1337 → 1340] and instead go by what Brian McCall says? [1340 → 1342] This is mind-blowing insanity. [1343 → 1344] On July 18th, [1344 → 1346] 1870, [1346 → 1349] the First Vatican Council declared infallibly, [1350 → 1350] quote, [1350 → 1354] since the Roman pontiff is at the head of the universal church [1354 → 1357] by the divine right of apostolic primacy, [1357 → 1359] we teach and declare also [1359 → 1363] that he is the supreme judge of the faithful [1363 → 1368] and that in all cases pertaining to ecclesiastical examination, [1369 → 1371] recourse can be had to his judgment. [1371 → 1372] Moreover, [1372 → 1374] that the judgment of the apostolic seeker, [1374 → 1377] he whose authority is not surpassed, [1377 → 1380] is to be disclaimed by no one, [1380 → 1384] nor is anyone permitted to pass judgment on its judgment. [1385 → 1385] Therefore, [1386 → 1388] they stray from the straight path of truth [1388 → 1391] who affirm that it is permitted to appeal [1391 → 1394] from the judgments of the Roman pontiffs [1394 → 1395] to an ecumenical council [1395 → 1400] as to an authority higher than the Roman pontiff, unquote. [1400 → 1404] On January 21st, 1878, [1404 → 1408] Pope Pius IX wrote in his apostolic letter, [1408 → 1409] Didicimus, [1409 → 1412] to the president of the Italian Catholic Youth Council, [1413 → 1415] that in following all the orders and directives [1415 → 1417] of the apostolic see, [1417 → 1420] one cannot be deceived or betrayed. [1421 → 1424] On June 17th, 1885, [1425 → 1427] Pope Leo XIII wrote to the Archbishop of Paris [1427 → 1429] that, quote, [1429 → 1431] it is to give proof of a submission [1431 → 1432] which is far from sincere, [1433 → 1434] to set up some kind of a council, [1434 → 1437] of opposition between one pontiff and another. [1438 → 1440] Those who, faced with two differing directives, [1440 → 1443] reject the present one to hold to the past [1443 → 1445] are not giving proof of obedience [1445 → 1450] to the authority which has the right and duty to guide them. [1450 → 1451] And in some ways, [1452 → 1455] they resemble those who, on receiving a condemnation, [1455 → 1458] would wish to appeal to a future council [1458 → 1462] or to a pope who is better informed, unquote. [1463 → 1464] That is the standard principle [1464 → 1466] of the Roman Catholic Church. [1466 → 1466] The Roman Catholic Church is the only Catholic Church [1466 → 1467] that has the right and duty to submit [1467 → 1469] to the authority of the Roman Pontiff [1469 → 1471] and the duty of submission to that authority [1471 → 1473] on the part of all Catholics. [1474 → 1478] Notice that the notion of infallibility [1478 → 1479] doesn't even come up. [1480 → 1482] This is not about infallibility. [1483 → 1484] It's about authority. [1485 → 1487] And following this authority [1487 → 1489] in matters of faith and morals, [1489 → 1491] in matters of the sacred liturgy [1491 → 1493] and universal church discipline, [1493 → 1494] is always, [1494 → 1495] is always safe [1495 → 1498] because that is how God instituted [1498 → 1501] the papacy in his church. [1502 → 1504] This makes perfect sense. [1505 → 1507] What is the alternative scenario anyway? [1508 → 1510] That the pope promulgates liturgical laws [1510 → 1513] and then the bishops, priests, and laity [1513 → 1515] decide whether they agree? [1515 → 1517] If that's how it is, [1517 → 1518] what do we need a pope for? [1519 → 1522] It's amazing how many people [1522 → 1524] say they are traditional Catholics [1524 → 1526] and yet they don't go [1526 → 1528] by traditional Catholic doctrine. [1528 → 1530] What did Pope Pius XII say about this? [1531 → 1534] Well, in his 1947 encyclical Mediator Dei, [1535 → 1536] he wrote this, [1536 → 1536] quote, [1536 → 1538] The sovereign pontiff alone [1538 → 1540] enjoys the right to recognize [1540 → 1542] and establish any practice [1542 → 1544] touching the worship of God [1544 → 1548] to introduce and approve new rites [1548 → 1550] as also to modify those [1550 → 1552] he judges to require modification. [1553 → 1554] Bishops, for their part, [1554 → 1556] have the right and duty carefully [1556 → 1559] to watch over the exact observance [1559 → 1561] of the prescriptions of the sacred canons [1561 → 1563] respecting divine worship. [1564 → 1566] Private individuals, therefore, [1566 → 1568] even though they be clerics, [1568 → 1570] may not be left to decide for themselves [1570 → 1573] in these holy and venerable matters [1573 → 1574] involving, as they do, [1574 → 1577] the religious life of Christian society [1577 → 1579] along with the exercise [1579 → 1581] of the priesthood of Jesus Christ [1581 → 1583] and worship of God. [1583 → 1584] Concerned as they are, [1584 → 1587] with the honor due to the Blessed Trinity, [1587 → 1588] the Word Incarnate, [1589 → 1590] and His Auguste Mother, [1590 → 1591] and the other saints, [1591 → 1594] and with the salvation of souls as well. [1594 → 1596] For the same reason, [1596 → 1598] no private person has any authority [1598 → 1601] to regulate external practices of this kind [1601 → 1603] which are intimately bound up [1603 → 1605] with church discipline [1605 → 1608] and with the order, unity, and concord [1608 → 1610] of the mystical body [1610 → 1612] and frequently even with the integrity [1612 → 1614] of Catholic faith itself. [1614 → 1615] Unquote. [1616 → 1620] Again, that's Pope Pius XII, Mediator Dei, [1620 → 1622] and it's paragraph number 58. [1623 → 1626] Now, the Semitrads will say, [1627 → 1629] but we can't go along with Francis' decree [1629 → 1631] because it destroys the Catholic Mass [1631 → 1635] and gives us the noble sort of worship service instead. [1636 → 1639] Yep, that's right, it does. [1639 → 1642] If you were to follow Francis faithfully, [1642 → 1644] you would end up a modernist, [1645 → 1646] like him. [1647 → 1650] That's how you know he's not the Pope. [1651 → 1652] Guys, this isn't that difficult. [1653 → 1656] The way God set up the Holy Catholic Church [1656 → 1660] is he instituted her with a hierarchy [1660 → 1663] and gave her an infallible, visible head, [1663 → 1665] the Roman Pontiff, the Pope. [1665 → 1667] And to this papal office, [1667 → 1669] he gave sufficient protections [1669 → 1671] such that the Pope would always be [1671 → 1673] the living criterion and guarantee [1674 → 1677] of sound doctrine, salutary discipline, [1678 → 1679] and sacred worship. [1679 → 1682] He fortified the Supreme Pontificate [1682 → 1685] so that it could not be compromised [1685 → 1687] by the human element, [1687 → 1689] that it would not falter [1689 → 1693] even in the face of human sin and weakness. [1694 → 1697] And so we have infallible certitude [1697 → 1700] that Francis is not the Roman Pontiff. [1701 → 1704] Per Catholic dogma, he cannot be. [1704 → 1707] And recognizing that is a first [1707 → 1710] and necessary step to a solution [1710 → 1711] to the conundrum. [1711 → 1714] Resistance does not solve anything [1714 → 1717] because it makes each individual Catholic [1717 → 1720] the arbiter and final authority [1720 → 1722] over what ought to be done in the Church [1722 → 1725] and makes the papacy meaningless, [1726 → 1727] useless, and dangerous. [1728 → 1731] Now, I know some will say that, [1731 → 1734] ha, Sedevacantism makes each individual Catholic [1734 → 1736] the arbiter and final authority [1736 → 1737] over who is Pope. [1738 → 1740] But the reality is, folks, [1740 → 1742] we're just drawing the necessary conclusion [1742 → 1744] that follows from Catholic doctrine. [1744 → 1748] And we have every right to do that [1748 → 1753] precisely because Catholic doctrine is true, [1753 → 1757] not just in theory, but also in practice. [1757 → 1760] The 19th century Spanish priest, [1760 → 1762] Father Felix Sarda y Salvani, [1763 → 1764] wrote in his Vatican, [1764 → 1765] endorsed book, [1765 → 1767] Liberalism is a Sin, [1767 → 1768] Chapter 32, [1769 → 1769] quote, [1770 → 1773] of what use would be the rule of faith and morals [1773 → 1775] if in every particular case [1775 → 1778] the faithful could not of themselves [1778 → 1780] make the immediate application? [1780 → 1781] Unquote. [1783 → 1786] Just as we did when Tradiciones Custodes [1786 → 1789] was released on July 16th of last year, [1790 → 1792] so too what we're witnessing now [1792 → 1794] is the turmoil [1794 → 1797] that results when people embrace [1797 → 1800] an impossible, absurd scenario. [1801 → 1803] Francis and the papacy [1803 → 1805] simply do not go together [1805 → 1810] because the papacy has real meaning. [1810 → 1813] It is not just a word or a label [1813 → 1814] that you can slap on someone [1814 → 1816] with no consequences. [1817 → 1819] The papacy is the supreme office [1819 → 1822] of teacher, governor, and sanctifier [1822 → 1824] in the Catholic Church, [1824 → 1826] that was instituted [1826 → 1828] by our Lord Jesus Christ himself [1828 → 1830] as the perpetual guarantee [1830 → 1832] of sound doctrine, [1832 → 1833] salutary discipline, [1834 → 1835] and sacred worship. [1837 → 1838] Tradiciones Custodes [1838 → 1840] and the Responsa a Dubia [1840 → 1843] are the result of accepting [1843 → 1845] an open enemy of the Catholic religion [1845 → 1846] as Pope. [1847 → 1851] If you accept an open modernist as Pope, [1851 → 1852] don't complain [1852 → 1854] if he does modernist things. [1854 → 1858] This is the false [1858 → 1860] recognize-and-resist theology [1860 → 1862] coming home to roost. [1863 → 1865] The Semitraves may not realize it now, [1865 → 1867] but God is actually doing them [1867 → 1869] a great favor here [1869 → 1871] because he's practically forcing them [1871 → 1873] to see how absurd [1873 → 1875] their position really is. [1877 → 1878] So, in a nutshell, [1879 → 1880] here's the deal. [1880 → 1882] If Francis is Pope, [1883 → 1884] then you have the divine guarantee [1884 → 1887] that Tradiciones Custodes [1887 → 1888] is not evil [1888 → 1889] and the new Mass [1889 → 1891] will not lead you [1891 → 1893] into spiritual ruin. [1894 → 1896] If, on the other hand, [1896 → 1898] Tradiciones Custodes is evil [1898 → 1900] and the new Mass does lead people [1900 → 1902] into spiritual ruin, [1902 → 1905] then Francis cannot be the Pope. [1906 → 1908] Within the framework [1908 → 1910] of sound Catholic theology, [1910 → 1913] those are the only two options [1913 → 1914] from which you can choose. [1914 → 1917] And now, for heaven's sake, [1919 → 1920] choose the right one. [1920 → 1922] Tradcast Express is a production [1922 → 1924] of Novos Ordo Watch.
