@justjeff Thanks for reminding me to interlibrary-loan  « La conférence de presse de Mgr Lefebvre », 15 juin 1988, Fideliter hors série, 29-30 juin 1988, mentioned passim in Sel de la terre «Les sacres épiscopaux de 1988 Étude théologique (II).» It would be good to have the full-text of the press conference.

Update: It's available on FSSPX.org: "Conférences de Mgr Lefebvre - 15 juin 1988". ++Lefebvre doesn't mention the names of the candidates.

I did not, but from the link you provided, it sounds like that would have been June 13,1988, though it doesn't specifically state that it was made public then.

From an answer to an AI query it sounds like the priests to be consecrated as their newest bishops will be announced this June.

This is honestly pretty unsettling but also really thought-provoking. The idea that systems like Palantir could carry forward something like Total Information Awareness under a different label makes it feel like these structures never really go away—they just evolve. What stood out to me most is the shift from human-driven control to algorithmic power, especially the "pre-crime" concept creeping into everyday governance. It raises a lot of questions about accountability and how much of our lives are being shaped by systems we don't even see or understand.
